\/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\nEl objetivo principal de las gafas de sol es proteger los ojos de la exposici\u00f3n excesiva a la radiaci\u00f3n UV y puede producir da\u00f1os inflamatorios a corto plazo y otros efectos cr\u00f3nicos.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Seg\u00fan la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/uv\/publications\/en\/uvispa.pdf\">Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud<\/a> (OMS), todos estamos expuestos a la radiaci\u00f3n UV procedente del sol y de numerosas fuentes artificiales utilizadas en la industria, el comercio y durante el tiempo libre.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">La llegada del buen tiempo hace que la mayor\u00eda de las personas usen gafas de sol, pero no todos compran las adecuadas y certificadas con el distintivo de la CE y el UV, que indica la protecci\u00f3n a los rayos ultravioleta.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 normas se asocian a los protectores oculares frente a radiaci\u00f3n UV?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Existen tres normas aplicables que definen requisitos para los protectores oculares destinados a proteger los ojos frente a la radiaci\u00f3n UV:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8211; EN 170:2002 \u2013 Filtros ultravioleta. Aplica a filtros que se utilizar\u00e1n para conformar un protector ocular completo frente a la radiaci\u00f3n UV.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8211; EN 172:1994 \u2013 Filtros solares para uso laboral. Aplica filtros que se utilizar\u00e1n en el \u00e1mbito laboral para conformar un protector ocular completo frente a la radiaci\u00f3n solar.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8211; EN ISO 12312-1:2013 \u2013 Gafas de sol para uso general. Aplica a protectores oculares completos destinados a ofrecer protecci\u00f3n contra la radiaci\u00f3n solar.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 tipo de protector deberemos usar en cada situaci\u00f3n?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Desde ASEPAL informan que el protector ocular que se debe usar viene determinado directamente por la evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgo que debe preceder al uso de todo equipo de protecci\u00f3n individual (EPI). \u00abNo deber\u00edamos seleccionar ning\u00fan EPI sin saber antes, de forma pormenorizada el tipo y el nivel de riesgo frente al que nos enfrentamos, la informaci\u00f3n es poder\u00bb, comenta Gil.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">En lo que respecta a la protecci\u00f3n frente a la radiaci\u00f3n UV, la elecci\u00f3n de un tipo de protector u otro, viene determinada por el tipo de radiaci\u00f3n al que se exponga el usuario del EPI, tanto en el origen de este tipo de radiaci\u00f3n, como en otros tipos de radiaciones no ionizantes en la exposici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u00abSi estamos ante una exposici\u00f3n de origen artificial (l\u00e1mparas de mercurio, sol\u00e1rium, etc.), el \u00fanico tipo de protector ocular que se puede utilizar es aquel que incorpore filtros seg\u00fan la norma EN 170\u00bb, explica Gil. \u00abDel mismo modo, ante la radiaci\u00f3n solar natural, el \u00fanico tipo de protector es aquel que incorpora filtros conformes a lo establecido en las normas EN 172 o EN ISO 12312-1\u00bb, concluye Gil.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Seg\u00fan las necesidades del trabajo y del trabajador, elegir el correcto EPI puede ser una tarea dif\u00edcil, desde ASEPAL inciden en la importancia que tiene para cada persona y empresa tener el conocimiento adecuado de la evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgos y la actualizaci\u00f3n precisa de las normas aplicables de cada uno de los EPI.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>Fuente: Asepal<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El objetivo principal de las gafas de sol es proteger los ojos de la exposici\u00f3n excesiva a la radiaci\u00f3n UV y puede producir da\u00f1os inflamatorios a corto plazo y otros efectos cr\u00f3nicos.
