Existen 3 tipos de lentes:
\nClase [1] Largos per\u00edodos de uso.
\nClase [2] Largos per\u00edodos de uso, pueden alterar el reconocimiento de los colores.
\nClase [3] No son para uso prolongado.
\nY diferentes normas para diferentes riesgos:
\nEN 166: Protecci\u00f3n ocular y facial requisitos generales.
\nEN 170: Filtro rayos ultravioleta.
\nEN 171: Infrarrojos.
\nEN 172: Filtro solar para uso laboral.
\nEN 175: Soldadura y t\u00e9cnicas afines.
\nSe fabrican diferentes tonos y colores de lentes para los siguientes usos:
\nClaras: de uso universal.
\nAhumadas: sensaci\u00f3n confortable contra la luz solar.
\n\u00c1mbar: incrementan el efecto contraste.
\nPolarizadas: eliminan los reflejos y proporcionan confort en la visi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Todos los protectores oculares deben cumplir con los requisitos establecidos en la norma EN166. Atendiendo a los usos deber\u00e1n llevar unos s\u00edmbolos, que tienen el siguiente significado, y pueden estar tanto en la montura como en el ocular, dependiendo a lo que se refiera:

\n[4] Polvo grueso mayor de 5 micras
\n[5] Gases, humo y part\u00edculas de polvo finas
\n[8] Arco el\u00e9ctrico y corto-circuito
\n[9] Metales fundidos y s\u00f3lidos calientes
\n[F] Part\u00edculas a gran velocidad, impacto a baja energ\u00eda inferior a 45 m\/sg.
\n[B] Part\u00edculas a gran velocidad, impacto a media energ\u00eda inferior a 120 m\/sg.
\n[A] Part\u00edculas a gran velocidad, impacto alta energ\u00eda.
\n[K] Resistencia a la penetraci\u00f3n de s\u00f3lidos calientes
\n[N] Resistencia al empa\u00f1amiento
\n[R] Reflexi\u00f3n aumentada
\n[S] Resistencia incrementada
